police action

so it was our third night out doing detached youth work and their were few kids but lots and lots of police.
quite scary really townhead was dead.
we finaly came up to some kids and had a nice chat with them they were all out of their faces drunk but happy enough and then this van pulled up and 6 police got out and started searching the boys and moving the girls on it was very scary. joy and i exsplained who we were and went back into the church as we were at the end of the night anyway.
later while we were de-briefing we hear this screaming coming from outside we look out of the window and two police people have this little girl on the floor she must have tryed something on with them but it was a shame to hear her crying she was so out of her face she did not really know what was going on.
i really hope that the work that we are doing is going to make some sort of impacked on these young peoples lives this is why i am in it after all.
